Enlivening our Therapeutic Teaching: a North American Teach the Teachers Course
Cultivate the Teacher in You!This three-year course organized and sponsored by the Anthroposophic Health Association is dedicated to joining together professionals of all anthroposophic healing modalities to explore and discover how anthroposophic practices can be taught to professionals that are new learners of anthroposophy.
It is clear that to expand the impulse of anthroposophic medicine and therapies we must be prepared to teach our future practitioners about anthroposophic tenets with learning modalities that are current and relevant. Please join us to explore questions such as:
๏ How can you describe the threefold, fourfold, sevenfold, and twelvefold human being in relatable terms?
๏ How do we bring experiential learning into our training as a form of embodiment? For example, what are experiences to help bring the four elements alive?
๏ How do you get everyone in a group setting to speak, contribute, and feel welcomed as an active participant?
๏ How do you move away from a lecture-heavy style of teaching towards more creative and interactive teaching methods?
๏ What are good introductory texts?
We will meet February 17– 22, 2022 in Chestnut Ridge, NY for the first of three annual training courses. During this Thursday evening to Sunday noon meeting, we will focus on developing introductory language and experiences for new learners.
Finally, in year three we will bring into our will the forces of growing and reproducing by focusing on mentoring and supporting learners in independent clinical work.
Who is this training for?
๏ We encourage each therapeutic organization to use this training to help identify and support your therapeutic teachers for the future. Who might be leading your training in 10 years?
๏ Those who want to facilitate the process of developing and implementing a training program, or facilitate the process of creatively enlivening an existing program.
๏ Those who want to develop skills to evaluate a current training program’s content and methodology.
๏ Those who want to develop greater skills for teaching clients, patients, and community members about your therapeutic modality.
