A monthly, live webinar teaching course, for medical prescribers, nurses and therapists. This is a six-session series that is recorded. You can watch at your convenience.
This course presents unique perspectives for seeing archetypes of both healthy physiology and one-sided illness patterns. They are interconnected, for a healthy step in metabolism or substance transformation can become an illness when it either dominates too strongly or is not sufficiently active. We will collectively explore this relationship through webinar presentations and discussion.
Anthroposophic medicine recognizes seven interweaving steps of change—breathing, warming, nourishing, secretion, maintenance, growth and reproduction—all “life processes” which continuously unfold within us. When they fall out of balance they can be supported through substance (remedy), though external application, or through therapeutic activity. The course will lead us through the characteristics and qualities of seven metals used widely within Anthroposophic pharmacy as a way to understand these archetypes. Webinar sessions will first bring detailed teaching about the observable phenomena of these metals and minerals, then move to case presentations demonstrating their therapeutic application.
The next webinar in this series will be January 9, 2020. All sessions will begin at 5:30 pm PST/6:30 MST/7:30 CST/8:30 EST, and will last 90 minutes.

This course is part of the pathway to certification in Anthroposophic Medicine for licensed prescribers (MD/DO/ND/NP/PA), and is worth up to 12 contact hour credits. The medical track of the May 2020 Training week will continue working with this sevenfold theme providing detailed information about its use in diagnosis and assessment, and prescriptive application of these metal preparations.
